2 injured in Texas car accident

On Behalf of | Apr 19, 2024 | Personal Injury |

Two people suffered injuries in a Texas car crash. The alleged wrong-way car accident occurred early in the morning on a Thursday. Two vehicles were involved in the crash.

How the accident happened

The recent Texas accident took place at about 4:40 a.m. along Highway 183, south of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. According to authorities, a driver was going east in the highway’s westbound lanes. The driver then reportedly crashed into another car.

The two car drivers suffered injuries in the collision. They were both transported to medical centers for treatment. It was not immediately clear why the first automobile’s driver was reportedly driving the wrong way.

A personal injury attorney can help

The second motor vehicle’s driver may opt to file a personal injury claim against the first driver, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages sustained in the collision. Liability must be established, based upon a showing of negligence, before the civil court hearing the case. Only then will the claim for damages be decided.

A successfully fought personal injury claim in Texas may lead to financial damages to cover the plaintiff’s initial and ongoing medical costs, such as physical therapy expenses. Monetary damages might also help cover this individual’s loss of wages if his or her accident-related injuries delay the individual’s return to work for an extended period. No amount of money can undo the events leading to the automobile crash, but financial damages may help the plaintiff more easily move forward from the motor vehicle accident.
