How an attorney can help
Police may discover through their investigation that the recent Texas accident happened due to the truck driver’s negligence — such as driving too quickly for road conditions. In this situation, the car driver who survived the accident may choose to file a personal injury claim against the truck driver and his or her employer, seeking the reimbursement of financial damages sustained in the accident. Likewise, the surviving loved ones of the two deceased passengers may decide to file wrongful death claims against the truck driver and his or her employer, seeking damages. Successfully fought claims may lead to damage awards to cover the deceased parties’ funeral costs and the loss of support for their surviving dependents.
